I’ve got your message Alice but my english is bad… I try, for your pleasure :
10AM We go to Sheep Rock Unit, a part of John Day Fossil Beds National Monument. It’s already sunny and hot.
We walk Island in time trail 1,3 mile, a green canyon with fossils, and we see a goat, unlikely here! We talk with two nice women, one is building a cottage like where we stay and she tells us about her stay in Germany and Swiss when she was younger.
On the road, a shoes tree!
We eat at home then the children play in the garden with water.
It’s awesome enjoy the great house, but if we go to visit a little? Here we go, direction Painted Hills Unit, 104°F at 5PM!! Hiking the most of the trails until the sunset :
Painted Cove (the bridge for walking in the middle of the dunes is being repaired)
Painted Hills Overlook and Carroll Rim (we hurry up because we are alone and afraid of encounter a snake, but we encounter only a rabbit)
Red Scar Knoll
On the road, there are deers and their babies.
Dinner, stars in the night, shower, and sleeping. Have a good night!
